It is the end of another productive week at McKenna Consultants that has been all about Agile! We have worked with three Agile clients, received professional acclaim for our Agile work and are all set to speak about Agile at a software development conference!

The week kicked off with Nick heading off to the National Space Centre to run an Agile Engineering day for a long standing client. The day was set up to help springboard a new product for the client and drive innovation.

We swiftly followed this up with running our trademark An Introduction To Agile Software Development course on site for a new client in Bradford. The client had already had some lean and agile training from other providers, but commented that our course was “the first time that we have had a course with real practical value”.

On Thursday of this week, our Commercial Director Aaron headed down to Nottinghamshire to provide a day of Agile Consultancy for an education software provider. The team in Nottingham are in the early stages of the norming process of a team and are super keen to implement Agile. The day was interesting, rewarding and a great success which will grow into a long term working relationship.

We are also delighted to welcome the University of York on board for a new project for an Android App!

In other exciting news, Aaron has been nominated to receive an Agile Award 2014 for “Best Agile Coach or Mentor – Process”. Aaron is being recognised for his work on the EMIS Agile Transformation project that we delivered over the course of 6 months.

On Friday, our client was proud to share with us this review of the app that we built in conjunction with their development team. It is always great for us to hear that our work is being used and loved!

As we have mentioned before, tomorrow is DDD North 2014. Nick is speaking tomorrow afternoon, sharing some of his wisdom about Agile. To support his presentation we have got some McKenna Consultants branded pens to give away! We are also getting more involved this year and are sponsoring the speaker dinner this evening!

Lastly, we have been playing around with making videos this week, have you seen the one on our homepage?

This week has been a crazy busy one and it’s not over yet!
